Restoring the Fourth Amendment at the University of Florida

We were working hard to restore the fourth amendment at the University of Florida on October 31, 2017. We were going to dress up as government agents for Halloween, but the hot Florida weather made us rethink that plan. Instead, we went out in front of Library West in the Plaza of the Americas to engage with students in the big topic of government surveillance. We quizzed the various students we encountered and helped teach them about some of the failures of big government. We helped educate the students we approached on interesting facts, such as how the NSA violates our civil rights thousands of times a year, yet is never challenged. Following this event, we plan on hosting a meeting on Thursday, November 9, 2017 on government surveillance. We are grateful to be able to host this event on our campus of over 50,000 students and look forward to helping #makelibertywin as the semester rolls on!
