Dr. Paul was on CNBC early this morning. The interview was sparked by Senator Judd Gregg’s comments on the importance of the Fed’s independence. Gregg is concerned the Paul/Grayson amendment will wind up giving Congress control over monetary policy. However, Ron Paul clears this up. The amendment, which passed this past Friday, simply entails a GAO audit of the entire $2 trillion Federal Reserve balance sheet.
