Scholarship Contest from Campus Reform

Develop your understanding of conservative philosophy and win money to pay for college!

“Confronting Ideology, Cultivating Conservatism and Its Practice” is a new scholarship contest from the Leadership Institute’s CampusReform.org and the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.  With more than $6,000 in prizes for three winners, it’s an exciting opportunity for young conservatives.

Contest entrants will submit essays up to 2,500 words in response to Professor Donald Livingston’s “David Hume and the Conservative Tradition,” published in ISI’s Intercollegiate Review, Fall 2009.  Livingston argues that “conservatism is a critique of ideology in politics.”  Essay submissions should discuss what they consider the dominant “false philosophy” in contemporary America and how it might be successfully countered with a “true philosophy” of conservatism.
