Scranton YAL Chapter Holds Restore the Fourth Event

Members of the Scranton Young Americans for Liberty Chapter held a Restore the 4th event on November 17th. Before the Thanksgiving break, YAL spread the word regarding the loss of 4th amendment rights, particularly in the past few decades. We applied for a activism kit before the event and it had everything that we needed in order to recruit effectively.  Students received pamphlets informing them of the increasing threat of government surveillance that comes with technological advancements. Some had no idea that the government could see so much of our lives on a daily basis. A number of productive discussions were held with between YAL members and visitors to the tables as well. We are excited about our follow up meeting and looking forward to the Spring Semester!
