Elizabethtown College Young Americans for Liberty had four members attend Students for Liberty’s 2014 Philadelphia Regional Conference at the University of Pennsylvania in the founding city of liberty, Philadelphia.
Our chapter president and YAL PA State Chair Justin Greiss tabled during the conference to promote the complementary nature of YAL and SFL.
Our members had the chance to visit other tables at the conference that promoted internship opportunities for students interested in preserving liberty. Our members were sure to take advantage of the many opportunities.
There were many amazing speakers at the event promoting the benefits of liberty. One such speaker was our president Justin Greiss, where he passionately discussed the benefits of setting up a free speech wall and promoting liberty on campus.
After the event we all went and enjoyed ourselves at a local hookah bar in which SFL provided free drinks. We were grateful for the opportunity to delve further into the ideas of liberty.
While only part of our members got to take the trip to Philadelphia, others continued the push for Liberty on campus. Members Kyle Schaeffer and Ben Prueitt held down the fort during our campus Open House, where they recruited potential students. They were able to get a significant number of sign-ups and continued to spread the word of Liberty around campus.
