So far this spring…

The spring semester has kicked off to a great start for us here at the University of South Florida (USF).  After receiving our recruitment kit (and our new Gadsden flag) we were able to refresh our tabling supplies and introduce more students to liberty.

We’ve used these lists to keep in contact with our potential new members about several themed and general meetings to discuss topics like: an introduction to YAL, how to spread liberty to a wider audience, current events in Ukraine and Venezuela, how the Civil Rights Movement exemplifies why only you can define your freedom, and more.

Our chapter officer elections are coming up in a few weeks so right now we are working on transition materials for up-and-coming officers who will carry the chapter forward, and will hopefully be passed down for several years to come. We have a handful of new freshman ready to step up as leaders, and for that we are proud to help them succeed.

We’ve participated in Campus Movie Fest (check out our film!), provided opportunities to our members for professional arms training from certified and exemplary instructors, employment opportunities in the community and with partners like Students for Liberty, Heritage Foundation, Gen FKD, and more.

What we’re most excited about is the Florida YAL Convention! Even though we were excited to host everyone at our campus, we’re even more excited for the added opportunities our attendees will have by merging with Campaign for Liberty’s Liberty Summit in Orlando. We’re doing all we can to spread the word about the upcoming convention to give students a real taste of what the Liberty Movement has to offer and how they can get involved.

Be sure to check it out! Friday through Sunday, April 4-6, at the Double Tree at SeaWorld. RSVP on Facebook to stay up-to-date! Register here.
