The chapter at Concordia University Wisconsin kicked off the semester with a great recruitment drive. We set up outside of our cafeteria. Many students were interested and excited that there was a new opportunity for them to express their political opinions on campus, as the school often seems to lack a diversity of opinion.
A few students even picked up the political quiz as they walked into the cafeteria, unsure of their opinions, and came out an hour later after they had eaten and took the quiz and signed up. All in all, 26 students signed up and seemed interested in learning more about YAL.
Our first meeting was shortly after, and 12 members attended. We had a discussion of what topics interested people and we also promoted the WI State Convention during that time. All in all, it was a great way to kick off YAL at CUW.
