The Young Americans for Liberty chapter at College of Charleston started off the Spring semester with a three-day recruitment drive at Cougar Mall, a spot that garners the most student traffic, affording the club the opportunity to gain new members! Resources from Young Americans for Liberty and the Foundation for Economic Education were displayed on the table for students to be incentivized to come over and see what the chapter had to offer.
Students who came up to the table and are new to libertarianism were given a crash course on the subject by YAL leaders, and those familiar to the term were engaged in a civil debate on topics relating to foreign policy and free speech. Aside from the intellectual discourse, each student was given a mini-flier for STRIVE’s free speech event, “Is the University Killing Free Speech?”
With a successful recruitment drive, CofC YAL is looking forward to another semester packed full of pro-liberty activism!Published in
