This semester SUNY-Albany YAL is a great of example of “Planning your work and working your plan.” We had multiple goals to accomplish: get money for CPAC, have a successful general interest meeting, and release the first issue of The Liberty Standard, our group’s newspaper which is pending distribution on campus.
We accomplished all these goals and are on the way to achieve many more! At the end of March we plan to do our know your rights/Generation of War event by bringing two speakers (one of whom is Jacob Hornberger, the President of the Future Freedom Foundation) to speak on our foreign policy as it relates to the erosion of our civil liberties.
This event is going to be co-sponsored by the SUNY-Albany political science department. We also plan to team up with the Capitol Region Campaign for Liberty to do an activist training at the end of March and release another issue of The Liberty Standard. We are currently planning out our trip to the New Jersey YAL Regional Conference in April and will debate our friends, the College Democrats, sometime in April.
We also attended the anti-NY SAFE act Gun Rally on February 28th and have some good action shots from the event!
The past two meetings have also been busy as we were visited by the Leadership Institute’s Gabriella Hoffman and Danielle Saul. We also had a visit from an Albany Mayoral candidate.
I have attached the copy of The Liberty Standard so you can see it for yourself!Published in
