On Thursday February 21st, the University of New Orleans chapter of YAL hit our campus with free markets in mind.
We put our campus to the test with the Economic Freedom rankings asking them to rate 10 countries in order based on their level of economic freedom. To no surprise, the vast majority of students ranked the US at the top of the group. Most were shocked to find out that we did not top the list. This provided the perfect segue to discuss the importance of economic freedom with them and tell them the advantages that free markets bring. Many were pleasantly surprised the higher levels of economic freedom bring a lower infant morality rate.
We had a very successful event spreading free markets and had some fun along the way. It is now on to spreading the message about unconstitutional wars of aggression—you know, the usual.Published in
