The Liberty Amendment

Yesterday I stumbled upon this little thing called the Liberty Amendment, a proposed amendment to the Constitution that would (1) stop the government from engaging in any type of commercial enterprise (2) end the usurpations of power by the U.N. and other supranational organizations (3) dismantle any commercial enterprise run by the government in under 3 years (4) end income/estate/gift taxes by repealing the 16th Amendment.

Although it was first written in 1944, it is still just as relevant today as it was then. The government is still over-reaching its bounds, and this amendment would put a stop to many issues. I highly encourage you all to look into it further.

Also, it was last introduced into Congress in 2007 by Congressman Paul. Look here for info on its status.
