On Halloween day students of St. John’s University, enjoying their lunch break from classes, had their rights forcibly infringed upon by Officers Justin and Alex. Students were visibly startled as out of nowhere whistle-blowing, badge-wearing, citation-wielding officers strode among the meandering students.
After reading their “citation” and seeing it was an invitation to a documentary viewing “Flex Your Rights — Ten Rules for Dealing with the Police,” students laughed and came up to our table to talk to us. It was certainly a good way to attract attention to our table! We garnered about 50 new sign-ups, and five new people came to our documentary viewing the following week. This event was a great way to get neo-liberal leaning students interested in the ideas of liberty!Published in
