Tiger YAL

Young Americans for Liberty at LSU is having a great spring semester! So far we have added eight new dues paying members to our chapter roster since January.

On March 18th we will have our first activism event of the semester, the Peace and Freedom Rally. Our members will gather in LSU’s Free Speech Alley with signs to protest the continuation of America’s unconstitutional undeclared wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We put together a team effort to make this event the best it can be.

President Greg Huete and incoming President Ariel Jones have made a handout to give to passersby explaining the difference between militarism and defense. It can be seen here on our new website. Last, but not least, our Secretary, Lauren Felter, put together a press release that was sent to the LSU Reveille to publicize the event.

This event has been easy to coordinate and fun to put together. We encourage all other chapters interested in holding a similar event to contact us and we will be happy to do all we can to help you out.

Following the Peace and Freedom Rally we will join chapters from across the nation in Visualizing the Debt!
