Transylvania University: A New Chapter with Big Ambitions at a Small School

In May of 2016, Young Americans for Liberty at Transylvania University was revived by TJ Roberts. This chapter, though new, has risen through the bureaucracy of college to become an official student organization at Transy with relative ease.

Roberts attended YALCON along with his core leadership team: Colton Kinzer and Christine Lee. Having attended YALCON, the three were radically motivated to make a difference on campus.

Once Roberts, Kinzer, and Lee reunited on campus, they immediately got to work. The first YAL meeting was held in Roberts and Kinzer’s dorm the day after move-in day. All seven dues paying members and four interested individuals attended.

Since then, YAL at Transy has held a recruitment drive, recruiting more than 20 non-Dues Paying Members. In addition, Roberts Kinzer and Lee have taken their activism off campus, in which they did a campus invasion at Asbury University to help provoke a culture of liberty.

3 of Transy’s YAL members have been involved in Liberty campaigns for this election cycle as well. This is only the beginning. Transy’s YAL chapter will be welcoming Adam Kokesh for his “For the Love of FREEDOM! Tour” on Sunday October 9th. Roberts will be speaking at this event. In addition, they plan on recruiting the entire campus to the side of liberty in recognizing the right to self defense through the Your Life Your Right activism event so that there may be #NoMoreVictims on campus.

Transy’s YAL Chapter has a bright team of liberty fighters with a bright future. They are young, energized, and ready to promote the cause of liberty. Look out, world. Freedom is coming.
