On Constitution day, September 17th, a funeral was held in honor of our beloved Constitution here at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. At the mournful funeral was a decorative coffin to signify how the Constitution in our society has been slaughtered. This sparked interest in hundreds of students across campus to come to our follow-up event!
At the event we discussed how important the Constitution is to our society and our freedom and how it needs to come back to playing a key role in our government today. We have made the Constitution’s funeral an annual event of our chapter on campus. Last year, we held a similar funeral and that included a video on YouTube. We will continue this event since we gather a lot of publicity on campus.
