UIUC Hosts Event on Campus

One of our best success story from this year at UIUC was when we partnered with The Academy on Capitalism and Limited Government (a pro-liberty non-profit organization) help put on an event. The event was with speaker Bryan Caplan who was talking about Immigration and the benefits of having open borders.

We also used the strategy of convincing economics professors to give their students extra credit for attending the talk. This worked much more than we anticipated and ended up having over 600 students attend the talk with only standing room available. We also ended up getting over 15 signatures of people interested in our club and wanting to join. With this event we were able to spark liberty on campus and start to get the ideas of liberty out there on our very liberal campus.
