University of Kentucky Free Speech Ball

On Tuesday February 14, 2018, the Kentucky Chapter of Young Americans for Liberty (YAL), helped to bring awareness to the unconstitutional free speech rules, such as Administration Regulation 9:2, enacted by the University of Kentucky’s administration. This was done through the means of a “Free Speech Ball” that was rolled through heavily trafficked areas of campus. This “Free Speech Ball” easily gathered the attention of students and brought them forward to ask questions, which gave us time to talk to students about why we were there and what we were trying to accomplish. Students of all kinds from across campus wrote on the “Free Speech Ball” anything from encouraging messages, quotes, to religious, political, and/or scientific arguments. While having students write on the “Free Speech Ball”, we also gathered signatures of students who seemed interesting YAL and what we stand for.
