After a strategy session at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a school with one of the strictest speech codes in the country (a red light school), YAL is taking the first steps towards establishing ourselves at one more University of North Carolina system school!
Strict standards for club creation at UNCG will be a challenge for YAL (a “libertarian” club was in place here, but has disbanded over the past year). I am confident, however, that the cohort we’ve assembled is more than capable of doing some great things for UNCG and the surrounding community!
Craig Dixon, a field rep at LI (always great to partner up), joined me in Greensboro just before Thanksgiving. We sat down with a group interested in taking charge to discuss the status of liberty on their campus, go over the tools and resources YAL has to offer (even shared some to get things going), and start the process of becoming an official YAL chapter.
By the end of the afternoon, as evidenced by our photo, we were already all best friends. We push onward!Published in
