The YAL Chapter at the University of Utah got off to a great start, seeing tremendous success with its Fall Membership Drive.
On Wednesday, August 26, YAL members set up a table and spoke with passing students about the Liberty Movement and invited them to join if they were interested. After almost four hours of tabling, a total of 118 students expressed interest in receiving more information about the upcoming “Welcome Meeting/Social.”
Many of these students were already familiar with the Liberty Movement but had previously been unaware that an organization like YAL was present on campus. These students expressed desire to help with the YAL chapter and even serve in a leadership role in the chapter.
The week after its original recruitment drive, YAL at the University of Utah held its Welcome Meeting/Social. All 12 people that attended expressed a desire to participate actively in the organization in order to further the cause of Liberty on the campus. YAL at the University of Utah is excited to start a new year and is optimistic about the opportunities it will have to promote small government and personal liberties among the students at the University.
