YAL @ the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee just finished our first semester. It’s been a long, hard, and difficult path as we as a chapter “figure it out” — but our members remain valiant. It was a short meeting, but it was as I hope, meaningful. We went over the preliminaries for what is coming up on the school’s end, mainly required elections. I was also happy to announce our new faculty advisor starting in the following semester, a principled professor who supports restoring the Constitution.
We talked about activism ideas for next semester to boost recruitment numbers, and I was also happy to announce our first guest speaker for the chapter as things continue to move forward.
In a closing statement I showed my members a special video I created that I hope would not only encourage them, but inspire as well. One such part in this video shows John F. Kennedy giving his Inaugural address in which he says, “I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it — and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.”
So now here’s to the future and reaching for the stars!
