On April 4th, despite becoming a provisional chapter just a week before the “Visualize the Debt” week, Long Beach City College’s YAL chapter succesfully hosted a debt clock in the quad as it’s first event. Many students came by, already knowledgeable of the situation, and discussed the debt and Austrian economics, amongst other things. Others stood in the middle of the quad staring in amazement.
LBCC’s YAL members learned a lot about activism that day, as well as all the inner workings of the school. We’re very excited to start hosting more events and getting involved on and off campus, especially with election season right around the corner.
