Wake Technical Community College “Facts & Snacks” event

Today, September 21st, 2017, Young Americans for Liberty at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh participated in our school’s version of a club fair, “Facts & Snacks.”  This was our first big event on campus this year, and the event went over very well.  Our YAL chapter is the only political group on campus, which is great for sparking interest and gaining new members.

At the fair, we gained 24 signups thanks to our great YAL club member, Kevin, who did a great job of bringing people in.  Throughout the club fair we were also able to hand out many pocket constitutions, flyers, and philosophy surveys.  Our booth garnered a lot of attention because of the cool posters we had out that included the political spectrum poster and posters referencing “The Office” and “South Park.”

Our club advisor later messaged us and said the booth was one of the most well attended at the fair, which was a great sign of our semester to come.  We will be reaching out to the people who signed up with us in the next couple of days, and we hope to see many of them at our next scheduled meeting on October 3rd.  Wake Tech YAL has lots of great events planned this year, some in conjunction with local colleges and universities like NC State, and we are also funding an economics/liberty driven book club with members consisting of students, faculty, and staff from our college.  We are so excited to…
