On October 12, Young Americans for Liberty chapter at McDaniel began operation Restore the Fourth. Our chapter’s goal was raise awareness for privacy rights guaranteed by the Fourth Amendment. We achieved this feat by making a parody of the government’s unconstitutional surveillance program. During the event we served dozens of warrants to students. Our officers dressed as government agents, issued erroneous offenses to individuals, and cited the need to search them. Fortunately, most of the students knew they have the right to be left alone and resisted the unreasonable searches. Even the President of McDaniel College received a Search Warrant!
The event was a success. We reached 52 sign ups and had a great time advancing the Liberty Movement at McDaniel College.Published in
