On Friday September 1, Young Americans for Liberty at Weber State University kicked off the semester with a recruitment drive, followed by a movie screening of the documentary The Culture High at Wildcat Theater.
We met bright and early at 8:00am to set up our table for the “Block Party”, where each club gets the chance to showcase themselves to interested students. The event was a success, and resulted in approximately 50 new sign-ups for YAL , and many productive discussions about liberty with students all across the political spectrum.
After the Block Party we immediately followed up with our first event, a screening of The Culture High, a film on cannabis prohibition and the war on drugs. The event generated a good amount of attention for YAL, and about 15 people came to the event. It’s safe to say that liberty is alive and growing at Weber State!Published in
