On October 4, liberty leaders in West Virginia woke up early to meet each other in Morgantown, where we sat down at a “Forum for Freedom” to share ideas, discuss our strengths and weaknesses, and plans for future collaboration!
Students from different schools and different organizations were represented as we discussed hard-hitting West Virginian issues, and how we can be effective as a whole.
The organizations that attended included Students For Liberty, College Libertarians, Collegians For A Conservative Tomorrow, and Young Americans for Liberty!
We discussed a range of issues like fracking – a large issue in West Virginia at the moment – competitive pay for teachers, the drug war, and over-criminalization. We also went over our plans for the next couple months. Overall, the forum was a success, and I would suggest and urge all other states to host an event similar to this one!Published in
