Every day our government makes decision after decision that is not based upon sound economics. With such lofty evidence against, it’s difficult to grasp how our policy makers can justify these directions for our economy. Although economic schools of thought such as the Austrian provide us with a proven basis for developing economic policy, there are numerous others out there debasing such rationality.
Though the likes of Paul Krugman and other Keynesian followers dominate the popular media, it’s particularly amazing when you come upon something as ridiculous as the Hoover Foundation. Though I can only find their YouTube channel, the economic reasoning they espouse seems almost comically out of touch with reality. You just have to see for yourselves. It’s almost as ridiculous as the McCain adviser from the Harding Institute which was popular in the news a month ago.
