YAL at College of Charleston on CNN with Rand Paul!

On Tuesday, September 30, YAL @ the College of Charleston had the pleasure to co-host Senator Rand Paul for a town hall event with students, faculty, and local community members.

Our Chapter President Josh Jaye, Secretary Sean Mahoney, and member Carl Maass were interviewed by Peter Hamby of CNN’s Hambycast on YAL’s mission at CofC, as well as our thoughts on Senator Paul running for President in 2016. Check out the video below!

CNN is also interested in coming back to one of our meetings and doing a story on our chapter, so stay tuned!

I have to give a HUGE shout out to our members for helping with the Senator Rand Paul event at CofC, not to mention all the hard work that they have put into building the liberty movement here at the College of Charleston and in South Carolina!

We followed up Senator Rand Paul’s event by tabling for the CofC Voter Registration Drive. We also promoted our chapter and handed out free copies of Peace, Love and Liberty, Why Liberty, and pamphlets on libertarianism!

Over the past two days our members have reached out to over 200 students and signed up 50 new members, and we are continuing to grow the liberty movement at College of Charleston!
