YAL at Millersville University begins spreading liberty on campus!

Young Americans for Liberty at Millersville University has been finding ways to weave through the bureaucracy and red tape. While waiting to become a recognized organization by our Student Senate, we were not permitted to table or hang flyers around campus due to new rules set up this year. To get around this, we chalked on campus and stood out in front of our Student Memorial Center building while handing out flyers for our first meeting.

Our clever fliers gave all the info students needed to know to get involved with our chapter!

Despite our uphill battle, our first meeting with successful! We had ten students show up and had many interested onlookers.

We also participated in our school wide Organization Outbreak on September 10th. This was our first real exposure on campus and we really made some noise! We used our Operation Politically Homeless kit and had over 50 new students sign up!

The “world’s smallest political quiz” was a big hit with passers by!

This coming week we are hosting a Free Speech Wall on Constitution Day. We are partnering with the College Republicans and the College Democrats on campus for this event. That evening we will be holding another information meeting for all of our new members!
