YAL at UIS Recruits New Activists

On January 21, 2015 Young Americans for Liberty at the University of Illinois, Springfield kicked off the spring semester with a bang. Activists tabled at the annual Spring Involvement Expo gathering new sign-ups and giving away liberty books and materials. We successfully collected over thirty signatures from interested students and discussed what YAL stands for.

We also had the opportunity to talk to campus staff, administrators, and professors about the principles and goals of our chapter. Our showing at the involvement expo allowed us to make our presence known on campus and discuss the goals of YAL. Our recruitment efforts were rewarded with new members at our next meeting and a growing interest in joining us on our trip to the Iowa State Convention.
