On September 8th, YAL had its first official call-out meeting at Wabash College. For this event, we were pleased to have members of the Purdue chapter help us with tabling and the presentation. The turnout was pretty decent–we were able to get a handful of dedicated signups for our next meeting. Because Wabash is a small liberal arts school of only 900 students, membership does present a bit of challenge in the initial stages of formation. However, YAL was able to engage interest of a good section of the student body, enough to where we were granted recognition from the student senate and approved for a Constitution day event coming soon.
Personally, I am excited to see what the potential of this new chapter holds. Next Friday, officer elections for our chapter will be in place. Furthermore, we will be scheduling speakers to visit campus within the next month. I am most definitely looking forward to making liberty win at Wabash College!Published in
