YAL Hosts election night party

YAL took the lead and co-hosted the official campus watch party on election night. We had close to 400 attendees, handed out 300 pocket constitutions, and doubled our email correspondence list.

The mood of the room was very tense, and we took that opportunity to discuss threats to civil liberties. This event was a great recruiting tool. Regardless of the result of the election, we knew that people would be extremely worried about the overbearing power that the President has amassed.

It is a perfect time to push for restrictions on the government, as originally intended during the founding of this nation.
