On Monday February 15, in Indiana University Kokomo’s Kresge auditorium, we held a discussion panel on Campus Carry. We enlisted the help of five students and faculty members to represent their respective sides of the argument for the student body.
We made up a good amount of brochures that simply explained what campus carry was, and where it has been implemented. We also included a couple of “Frequently asked questions” that helped get students in the mood to ask and answer questions about Campus Carry.
Enlisting the various faculty members can be a challenge, depending on whether the campus leans liberal or conservative, but we attempted to have at least one person of each position present at the discussion in order to make it a fair match-up.
We are happy with how successful this event turned out. The panel had an informative discussion about the issue of Campus Carry. We are looking forward to holding more events on campus.Published in
