YAL National Announces Austin Brenneman as Indiana State Chair

YAL National is excited to share with you that Austin will be serving as the Indiana state chair. In his own words:

I was completely apathetic toward politics until I stumbled upon a Ron Paul debate video on Digg. I decided to participate in Ron Paul’s Christmas Vacation, a 9-day trip where several hundred student volunteers went door to door and made phone calls for Ron. When I came back to Indiana, I started a county Meetup for the campaign. In June of 2008, I became a delegate to Indiana’s State Republican Convention at the age of 18. After volunteering for the Rally for the Republic, I started a YAL chapter at my high school. I then battled the school administration over my first amendment rights, which resulted in media attention and a change in school policy.

Currently, I am planning an effort similar to Ron Paul’s Christmas Vacation for his son’s Senatorial bid in Kentucky. You can take a look at the facebook group for more information. I look forward to working with YAL members throughout Indiana to promote the ideas of liberty and self-government. If you have any questions or need some tips on starting up a chapter, don’t hesitate to send me a message on my facebook profile or visit the Indiana forum.
