This last Thursday, the members of YAL at Central Methodist University pulled out all of the stops for getting in the holiday spirit! For their last activism event of the semester, boxes of free swag were brought out and given to the student body. Buttons, books, bottle openers, candy, pens, you name it!
In the spirit of giving, one of our members drew up this especially handy tri-fold pamphlet about the “Gifts of Liberty”:
Contained within was a three part discussion about how the ideas of liberty benefit us all; namely through wealth generation, the spreading of peace and non-aggression, and a celebration of a free and unfettered labor market.
Even more important than all of the gift-giving, the members also took this opportunity to do some last-minute recruiting. And we are so happy to announce that we grew our numbers by half with just one tabling session! We have more than met our goal of getting a dozen sign-ups in one semester of activism events.
2016 is poised to be a big year for the Missouri network, and we are looking to carry the torch as an exemplary chapter with our unique activism events and tight camaraderie.Published in
