Those students wishing to get politically involved, but are fed up with both major parties should look into UGA’s newest political organization, Young Americans for Liberty (YAL)!
Led by President Mitch Nemeth, YAL held its first meeting last night to introduce the club and its members to one another. Nearly twenty-five pro-liberty students attended the meeting to discuss media development, hosting libertarian speakers on campus, and the upcoming election.
The club is also aiming to create its own website in order to get the libertarian message out around campus and the Athens area. Over the next few weeks, YAL hopes to register more students to vote, and get in contact with different activist groups on campus such as Students for Sensible Drug Policies and Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), which fights for students’ liberties.Published in
