On September 2, the YAL at WSUV participated in its first club fair and made its first appearance on campus.
While our membership is slowly growing, we plan on an introductory meeting to YAL’s purpose and mission on campus Thursday, September 10, for those still interested in the club.
It was surprising to see many students had no idea about any political positions besides liberal or conservative (had no idea about libertarianism/ libertarian thought or liberty ideals). Almost none of the individuals I talked to had no idea that Young Americans for Liberty even existed.
We have until September 25 to be officially recognized by the school this semester. However, even if we do not get officially recognized, YAL will continue its efforts to not only gain membership on campus, but more importantly, promote the ideas of liberty on campus and in the community at large!Published in
