Young Americans for Liberty at UCF Feed the Politically Homeless

The University of Central Florida chapter of Young Americans for Liberty conducted another succesful student outreach campaign.  Thanks to the support of our friends at Advocates for Self Government, we were able to bring Operation Politically Homeless(OPH) to our campus.  We had over 100 participants from the student body conduct the “Worlds Smallest Political Quiz” and as you can see below, the ideas of liberty are very prevelant on the UCF campus.

This was our second time using the OPH kit as an outreach tool.   However, this time around we not only offered the “Politically Homeless” a new place to live, we offered them free popsicles.

In order to capitalize on this recruitment opportunity, we asked everyone who participated in the quiz if they would be willing to let us take a  photograph of them plotting their results on the Nolan Chart.  If they agreed, we encouraged them to join our Facebook group in order to see their picture.  We also used this opportunity to discuss the basic principles of liberty and find areas of agreement based on each participant’s results.

We would like to encourage other YAL chapters around the country to take advantage of the resources being offered by Advocates for Self Government and remain vigilant in your recruiting efforts.  The college campuses are the future of this nation and planting seeds of liberty is essential to the the success of our movement.

“The flowering of human society depends on two factors: the intellectual power of outstanding men to conceive sound social and economic theories, and the ability of these or other men to make these ideologies palatable to the majority.”

~Ludwig von Mises~
