Young Americans for Liberty’s Second Petition Push

Today, the national staff of Young Americans for Liberty woke up at 6:30 am to help Campagin for Liberty with their second petition push. If you remember, our last petition push was mid- September.  We delivered over 150,000 petitions to Congress urging them to co-sponsor H.R 1207.  For this second petition push, we delivered some 20,000 petitions to co-sponsors urging them to keep the bill as is and take it to the floor as a stand alone vote — up or down, no in between.  We made sure to let our representatives know that their constituents don’t want this bill to be amended or tacked onto other legislation, defeating the strength of the bill.

Keep signing the petitions. This is working. We want to show our representatives and their staffers what real representative government looks like and the strength of the grassroots movement.

Sign the Free Our Healthcare Petition. We will be delivering these petitions on November 13th. Get them in before then!

Above: Almost all petition deliverers with Congressman Ed Royce.  Some volunteers were from Young Americans for Liberty, some from Campaign for Liberty, and some from out of state. Congressman Royce took the time to talk with us about Austrian Economics, the Federal Reserve, and Ayn Rand.
