Your Life, Your Right at Concordia College

Concordia College hosted a “Your Life, Your Right” campaign in late October. Members, along with staff from the Leadership Institute prepared a Dodgeball Free Zone next to our regular table in the Student Center on campus. A law-abiding member in the Dodgeball Free Zone tossed a ball to passing students, telling them about the zone he was in, and encouraging them to throw the ball at them. This illustration worked well to engage all kinds of students who might otherwise be uninterested.

We encouraged students to take the self-defense quiz at our table, and passed out pocket constitutions with YAL literature inside. We hosted a follow-up meeting later that night, with a few new faces.
