YAL Issues Statement Opposing Omnibus Bill, Supporting Senator Rand Paul

As Congress advances its omnibus spending bill, Young Americans for Liberty (YAL)—the nation’s most active youth liberty organization—has issued a statement criticizing Big Government and echoing Senator Rand Paul’s objections to tax-and-spend policies. The statement comes from YAL CEO Lauren Daugherty:

“Senator Rand Paul is right to oppose the current iteration of the omnibus package. For decades, Democrats and Republicans have worked in unison to extend the long arm of Big Government, taxing and spending their way into budgetary crisis after budgetary crisis. Enough is enough: America needs more principled advocates for limited government—people like Rand Paul—who will push back against the tax-and-spend craziness that runs rampant in Washington, D.C. Our current fiscal path is not a sustainable one, and we need to reverse course before it’s too late.”
