Allow Non Lethal Self Defense at Missouri Public Colleges

In the state of Missouri, known for its strong commitment to personal freedom, public college campuses remain one of the few places where students’ rights to self-defense are unjustly restricted.

Many institutions currently enforce policies that prohibit the use of non-lethal self-defense tools, putting the safety of students, faculty, and staff at risk. To address this pressing concern, we urge the student body and all advocates for liberty to support the legislative effort through the Missouri Non-Lethal Campus Defense Bill, introduced by a member of YAL’s Hazlitt coalition.

This bill seeks to make it illegal for public college campuses in Missouri to ban the possession and use of non-lethal self-defense tools such as pepper spray, stun guns, and Tasers.

By signing this petition, you will help send a powerful message to our legislators that the right to personal security and self-defense is essential and must be protected within our educational institutions.
