Representative Curt Nisly, a member of the Indiana House, has been a champion of liberty. During his tenure, Curt stood firmly on his principles, pushing back on the establishment and never folding under pressure.
Rep. Nisly co-sponsored and passed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (SB 101), which prohibited government entities from burdening a person’s exercise of religion. Nisly also was a co-signer on successful legislation in Indiana to repeal the prohibition on manufacturing, importing, selling, or possessing a sawed-off shotgun (SB 433). Most recently, Curt orchestrated the passage of the 2022 Constitutional Carry legislation in Indiana, making the Hoosier State the 24th state to pass Constitutional Carry. The freedom to carry a firearm without a permit has already saved the lives of countless folks in Indiana. Because of Nisly’s valiant efforts in the legislature, he received YAL’s Unsung Hero Award at Revolution 2022, Young Americans for Liberty’s annual conference.
Below you will hear Curt’s courageous story of fighting for liberty in the legislature.
