In October of 2015, YAL won its biggest free speech victory to date. Brittany Mirelez was promoting her YAL chapter at Paradise Valley Community College, until two administrators shut her down for failure to obtain approval from the administration. Brittany sued the Maricopa Community College District in federal court. On November 7th, the ruling was handed down to remove the unconstitutional policies for the entire PVCC system – 10 campuses with a total student body of over 250,000.
