In 2022 YAL activists at Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) connected with the SRC team to end alcohol prohibition at SEMO. After a long fight the fight was put on hold at the beginning of 2023 due to unforeseen tragedies on campus.
In late 2023 the fight was revived and taken on by new state leadership and Landon Tourville redelivered almost 800 petitions to SEMO admins. After pressure from YAL student activists the administration changed their policy to allow drinking of alcohol on campus to ensure safe drinking for students on campus on 2/23/2024
