Former State Chair, and current chapter president, David Owen of the University of North Dakota decided to take the road less traveled in his endeavors to restore Constitutional First Amendment rights to students on his campus.
Working with the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, UND Student Government, and the Board, David Owen cultivated an environment in which free speech reform was made possible. Owen is an exemplary case of access politics on college campuses. Without Owen taking a powerful stand for Free Speech, the students would still be living under unconstitutional regulations.
