Andrew Bays had the unique opportunity of working alongside one of the most legendary coalitions of activists in Young Americans for Liberty. In 2018, the Louisiana YAL Coalition successfully lobbied two universities and the Louisiana state government to adopt constitutional free speech policies.

Because of the connections Andrew had with the Vice President of Student Life being in his fraternity eons ago, and the pressure our groups were putting on Universities across the state, Andrew was able to lobby Louisiana Tech University to follow suit with the University of Louisiana and the rest of the state by removing their restrictive policies, and opening the entire campus to free expression without approval from the University.
