Story:

Another win and another huge step for Free Speech on campus! State Chair Emma MacCutheon was on campus petitioning against the school for a new and amended weapons policy promoting self-defense on campus. During the petitioning, she was approached by administrators who told her to pack up and leave, even though other students were protesting just a few feet away on campus.

As she was recording the situation, the administrators asked her to delete the video. Emma stood firm and proceeded with her right to record a public servant. After posting the interaction online, the school released a possible new free speech policy. Emma pivoted and advocated in support of the new policy. The policy change would force the school to regulate tabling requests on a content neutral basis. The School could not regulate tabling on any protected forms of speech political religous etc. Emma and her activists petitioned calling for support of the policy and locking in tons of student support. On 9/30, the board passed the policy into the student handbook protecting the First Amendment rights of over 16,000 students!
