Story:

In student activism, few names stand out like Anthony Pecoraro, or Pec as most call him. He calls himself the SRC Champ and has built a reputation through hard work with the Student Rights Campaign, or SRC. His story is about turning passion into real results. It starts in Connecticut, moves to Florida, and even reaches a global level. This is how Pec took on challenges and won, making a big difference in the fight for student rights.

Pec began in Connecticut as the state chair for Young Americans for Liberty, or YAL, at Sacred Heart University. The school tried to force a vaccine mandate, but Pec saw it as too much control. He started a campaign that got noticed fast. The university president got mad and criticized him on Instagram. Pec didn’t back off. Parents and alumni got upset at the president, supporting Pec instead. Their help made the mandate go away, giving Pec his first major win.

Next, Pec went bigger. During the Ukraine conflict, he held an anti-war rally at a United Nations meeting. While others stayed quiet, he spoke up against the war. This showed his belief in liberty wasn’t just about students. It proved he cared about bigger ideas too.

Later, Pec moved to Florida for family reasons and took over as YAL state chair there. At the University of Central Florida, or UCF, he found a rule banning tasers. He thought this hurt student rights. He got his group together and gathered 2,400 signatures for a petition to change the rule. A record breaking number for an individual school, showed the students wanted change.

The petition worked enough to start talks with the administration. Pec’s chapter president, Anthony Pino, teamed up with a campus police leader who agreed with them. The police leader respected Pino so much he gave him a challenge coin. This was a sign they were getting somewhere.

But the fight isn’t done. The UCF administration stopped responding and started talking to lawyers, slowing things down. Pec doesn’t quit, though. He’s working with the SRC on what to do next. To him, a delay is just a chance to plan and push harder.

Pec’s story isn’t just about winning. It’s about what keeps him going. In Connecticut, he turned the president’s attack into support. At the UN, he spoke when others wouldn’t. At UCF, he’s facing delays but still fighting. Criticism and roadblocks don’t stop him; they make him stronger. Pec doesn’t only work for student rights; he lives the boldness they need. Anthony Pecoraro, the SRC Champ, isn’t finished. His story keeps going, and he’ll keep pushing until he wins completely.
